Some where along the line before Zeus was turned in his tail was broken - hence the weird angle at the tip of his tail as shown in the picture.

Zeus's toenails are hollow. Possibly due to malnutrition or because his toe nails went so long without being clipped.

Once Zeus was bathed and Zeus' feet were shaved to remove the matting it was found that his feet had been burned by the urine that soaked his matts.

Buddy is aprox. 3 years old. His coat was matted and embedded with horse feces, plant material and debris. It was matted so tightly to his skin that his coat had to be shaved off.

Like all the dogs Buddy had to be carried into the groomer, the vet and even his temporary foster home. We doubt he had ever been on a leash or in a car. Please note how thin he is.
